Race a Horse at Canterbury Park in 2012

Have you dreamed about being in the winner’s circle?  Here is your chance to share in the excitement of racing a horse for a minimal cost.  For a one time investment of $250, you can own a 2% share of a racehorse at Canterbury Park for the 2012 racing season (May 18th – Labor Day).  You will be permitted to buy as many shares in a horse as you would like up to 40 shares.  Your only expense will be the cost of the shares.

The return on your investment will be based on the Equibase earnings of the horse for races ran at Canterbury in 2012.  Every horse entered in a race gets at least 1% of the purse.

You will not need to purchase a racing license unless you buy 3 or more shares.  The cost of a license is $50.00, and will give you free admission to the live racing at Canterbury Park and will permit you get to the back side or stable area.  You will also be given free passes for days when your horse is entered a race.

I will keep at least 20% of the shares and will administer all the horse racing details (i.e., training, vet care, etc.).

The horses from our stallion and breeding program have been competitive at Canterbury Park.  Here are some examples of horses that have run at Canterbury and their Equibase earnings:

2005 – Dynabelle - $12,427

2006 – Dynabelle - $19,479

2007 – Dynabelle - $13,095

2008 – Chasen Tate - $15,230

2011 – Designed to Run - $11,959

I have several fillies and geldings that will be ready to run in 2012.  Call for more details or come out to the farm and see our horse program.  You can also check out our website at http://sites.google.com/site/lindamanthoroughbreds/.
